Ecodays
A week dedicated to sustainability and gentle mobility across Pontedera, Ponsacco and Cascina: Bikedays, exhibitions, markets (Carboot) and dozens of free events. The 2026 edition ran from 6 to 17 May, opening with an Ecoincontro talk at Teatro Era.
Pontedera Music Festival – Summer Edition
Every summer, from July to September, classical, jazz and world music concerts at the Piaggio Museum Auditorium, Villa Crastan and Teatro Era. Organised by the Pontedera Music Academy and the Piaggio Foundation: the eighth edition ran from 5 July to 27 September 2026.

Open-air cinema, evenings in the squares, night markets and family activities liven up the centre in the warm months.
Valdera food fairs and festivals
In autumn the nearby villages celebrate wine, new olive oil, truffle and local produce with very popular food fairs.
San Faustino, the patron saint of Pontedera
The patronal feast falls on the second Thursday of October: the saint's relics arrive in a river procession at the Molo Arnera, followed by a religious triduum and a full programme of cultural, musical and sporting events across the town.
Antica Fiera di San Luca
Around 18 October, traditionally from 17 to 26 October along Via Tosco Romagnola: stalls, crafts and zero-mile local food at one of the busiest historic fairs in the Valdera.
Christmas in Pontedera
Lights, an ice rink, markets and the famous tree in the square: the centre dresses up for the festive weeks.
