Events in Pontedera
Music, art, sustainability and tradition: Pontedera and the Valdera offer events all year round, from the San Faustino patronal feast in October to the summer Music Festival. Here are the main ones to keep an eye on when planning your visit.
Ecodays
A week dedicated to sustainability and gentle mobility across Pontedera, Ponsacco and Cascina: Bikedays, exhibitions, markets (Carboot) and dozens of free events. The 2026 edition ran from 6 to 17 May, opening with an Ecoincontro talk at Teatro Era.
Pontedera Music Festival β Summer Edition
The eighth edition, from 5 July to 27 September 2026, brings classical, jazz and world music concerts to the Piaggio Museum Auditorium, Villa Crastan and Teatro Era. Organised by the Pontedera Music Academy and the Piaggio Foundation.
Pontedera summer
Open-air cinema, evenings in the squares, night markets and family activities liven up the centre in the warm months.
San Faustino, the patron saint of Pontedera
The patronal feast falls on the second Thursday of October: the saint's relics arrive in a river procession at the Molo Arnera, followed by a religious triduum and a full programme of cultural, musical and sporting events across the town.
Christmas in Pontedera
Lights, an ice rink, markets and the famous tree in the square: the centre dresses up for the festive weeks.
Exhibitions at the Piaggio Museum and art centres
Temporary exhibitions, talks and meetings at the Piaggio Museum, the Sete SΓ³is Sete Luas Centre and the town's cultural venues.
Valdera food fairs and festivals
In autumn the nearby villages celebrate wine, new olive oil, truffle and local produce with very popular food fairs.
